Objectives

Contribute to the development of the agriculture sector of Benin by enforcing the capacities of education and research at the FA.

Summary

The project aims to contribute to adjusting the education curriculum to the needs for economic development. There for WU will assist in the adjustment of the education goals considering the demand of the employment market and of the research programs considering to the needs of the rural population. To support the changes the lecturers will be trained in new methods for didactics and research. Supported by WU staff, the lecturers will integrate in the courses methods that allow training of other than cognitive competences, and they will conduct and publish results of participatory research projects. This should enable the FA to become an interesting partner for national, regional et international research organisations. To support this process the FA will also receive teaching and research equipments, means of transport, and library books and computer equipment for internet search of scientific publications.
