Research facilities

 

The Aquaculture and Fisheries Group have a number of facilities for experimental work. The facilities have a number of systems: Fresh and saltwater recirculation systems, flow through systems, respiration units and laboratory facilities. Giving the possibility to the chair group to do experimental work.


De Haar-vissen hatchery

The Hactery has a number of experimental and pilot scale systems, where experiments can be done.
  
 

Before experimental work can be done in the De Haar-vissen hatchery. All persons entering the hatchery must have read the regulations concerning experimental work in this accommodation. After reading the regulations a entry form has to be signed and handed in to Sietze Leenstra head of the Haar-vissen accommodation.

The laboratory facilities

The laboratory of the Aquaculture and Fisheries Group provides the analytical instruments and equipment needed for the experimental research done at the chair group. The laboratory is run by skilled staff, which can give more information on the possibilities of the laboratory. Contact head of laboratory Ronald Booms for more details.
